Made Right with God

Therefore, since we have been made right in God’s sight by faith, we have peace with God because of what Jesus Christ our Lord has done for us. Romans 5:1 NLT
Maybe you still don’t quite get how you can be right with God. If there’s no one good enough, how does that work? Paul’s letter to the Romans contains such specific directions that they have been called the “Romans Road.” They have helped many people understand how to be set right with God, ready for life here and heaven. This is what God wants to do for everybody.
For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard. Romans 3:23 NLT
We have all sinned—no one is innocent. You can never close the gap between His standards and where you are.
For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord. Roman 6:23 NLT
The consequence that we have earned for our sins is death. It’s not just physical death that came into the world through sin, but eternal death, separated from the Source of Life.
But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners. Romans 5:8 NLT
Jesus’ death while we were still sinners paid our debt. His resurrection is the ultimate and forever proof that through trusting in Jesus we can have assurance that God accepted His sacrifice on our behalf.
If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Romans 10:9 NLT
Because of what Jesus did, all we have to do is put our faith in Him, trusting His death as the payment for our sins—and we will be saved.
For “Everyone who calls on the name of the LORD will be saved.” Romans 10:13 NLT
Again, trusting in the sacrifice of the one and only method for sinners to become good enough for a holy God, trusting in Jesus, is our responsibility and privilege.
Therefore, since we have been made right in God’s sight by faith, we have peace with God because of what Jesus Christ our Lord has done for us. Romans 5:1 NLT
Through Jesus Christ we can now have a forgiven relationship of peace with God.
So now there is no condemnation or those who belong to Jesus Christ. Romans 8:1 NLT
All guilt and accusation are gone forever through Jesus.
And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:38-39 NLT
Our lives are forever held in God’s love—in this life and the next! We have hope and healing here and in heaven forever!
