Parent Summit

No other success will compensate at home. I think we all know that—it doesn’t matter how much money we have, how great our house is, how much we love our job, if there’s trouble at home, if our kids are off the rails, we just can’t enjoy life. There’s an ache in our hearts, a restlessness in our souls, that can’t be soothed.
As parents we send our kids off to school to learn, we take them to church to learn, we send them to sports camps and music classes and dance classes to learn. Nothing wrong with that; in fact, it’s great. But the truth is, the most important things they will learn that determine the direction and quality of their lives will be at home.
Perhaps you already know that, but the thought of it scares you to death. You feel woefully inadequate to handle that responsibility. There is hope and help for you!
The Parent Summit is coming to NewPointe! On Saturday, September 8, from 9 to noon at our Dover Campus, you can learn in this one day how to leverage opportunities to influence your children’s lives in the right direction forever. Our culture is changing on a daily basis, and our children are the first to feel the impact. We are generally quite slow to catch up. You need to have a handle on passing on the faith, dealing properly with technology, maintaining sexual integrity, and establishing healthy habits for life.
The Parent Summit is designed to equip parents to raise, and make a difference for, the next generation in today’s world. The Summit also provides an incredible amount of resources you can use throughout the phases of your child’s life. Whether your child is a toddler, an elementary age kid, a middle schooler, or a high schooler, they’re in a phase. Every phase is a time frame in a kid’s life when you can leverage distinctive opportunities to influence their future.
Carlos Whittaker is the guest speaker at this Parent Summit. Carlos is a People's Choice Award winner, a former recording artist, a social media maven, and currently spends the majority of his time writing books and speaking on stages around the world. Carlos is an active part of Orange, an organization that engages churches and families to influence the next generation and is most known for his role in the Parent Cue Podcast. NewPointe is a part of the Orange network.
Carlos will be talking about parenting, faith, technology, sexual integrity, and healthy habits. Carlos will also have books for sale that he will be signing after the event.
