WHAT A DAY!

March 24, 2021

Last Saturday was quite a day! It was the prayer and commissioning service for our brand-new Coshocton campus. People gathered from all six of our physical locations to celebrate God’s goodness and greatness. It was an incredible time. I was overcome with wonder and gratitude for Who God is and what He continues to do for and through us.

I shared from Habakkuk 2:3 that when God says something will happen, you can take it to the bank. Coshocton has met in a school for the past seven-plus years. This means amazing sacrifice and effort. The Coshocton people have set up and torn down chairs, tables, equipment, and created environments for children and studentsover and over again. Sunday mornings started at 5:30 a.m. Yes, you read that right—5:30 a.m. There have been six different campus pastors over the years, and yet one thing remained true: the vision to create experiences that unchurched people love to attend for the people of Coshocton County.

Listen to the prophet:“But these things I plan won’t happen right away. Slowly, steadily, surely, the time approaches when the vision will be fulfilled. If it seems slow,do not despair, for these things will surely come to pass. Just be patient! They will not be overdue a single day!” Habakkuk 2:3 TLB

Saturday, there were tears of satisfaction because of the sacrifice and giving that have taken place over the years. There was great joy because of what God is doing right now. There was and is excitement for what will take place over the coming years. We believe that in our new facility God has given us a tool that will help us reach people who will spend forever somewhere, and we are determined that it will be with Jesus Christ.

This is what one church in multiple places really looks like. It fills me with such emotion and excitement when I see it happen. Here’s what it means: People all throughout NewPointe’s six different locations have contributed and made sure that we have a lighthouse in Coshocton. People gave and made this happen who will never set a foot in the building. There will be people you will meet for the first time in heaven because you chose to be part of a bigger and grander vision to reach not only your county in Wooster, Holmes, Stark, Tuscarawas or Guernsey, but to think bigger and give to a bigger cause, and that is to reach as many people as you possibly can. I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart! You are amazing!

Our Coshocton campus will hold their first service in theirnew building on April 4, Easter Sunday. Is that incredible or what? Easter is the pivotal point in all of history where Jesus Christ rose from the dead, and within 40 days He would give birth to His church—His church that is the hope of the world.

Let me tell you one more time: NewPointe has experienced some tremendous times in the past, but our best days are not behind us, they are right now and ahead of us. What a God! What a people! I am thrilled to be working with you!

Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Galatians 6:9 NIV
