The Opportunity of a Lifetime

March 27, 2023

In less than two weeks we will be celebrating Easter. Yes, we have fun with the bunny and eggs and all the new life of springtime, but Easter is really all about the resurrection of Jesus Christ. The resurrection of Jesus was verified by many eyewitnesses and is historically recorded. It proves that He keeps His promises, and He truly was who He claimed to be—God Himself.

The belief system of our faith is not simply founded on the Bible. It is far better than that. It is founded on a supernatural event—the resurrection of Jesus Christ after His sacrificial death. It is truly the gospel—the only good news with the power to change the world and provide hope now and forever.

I have given those who are at NewPointe a significant challenge: 5 by 2025. Specifically, the challenge is to personally invest in five people in your sphere of influence, developing a relationship that will enable you to personally invite them to accept Jesus Christ as the Savior, forgiver, and leader of their life.

Why is this so important?

For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus. 1 Timothy 2:5 ESV

Scripture clearly speaks to the fact that Jesus didn’t come to make bad people good but people who are dead in their sin alive through Christ’s sacrifice and resurrection.

Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12 NIV

At NewPointe we are making it as convenient as possible for you to share the great news with those you know and love. All of our campuses we will be offering a Saturday service and our regular two services on Sunday.

Easter is the time statistics tell us when most people are open to an invitation to attend a church service. Three out of four people say they would come to a service if invited. There won’t be another opportunity quite like this for another year.

We are investing much time, prayer, and preparation in the services. Each service will be relevant and engaging. The message will clearly and non-judgmentally communicate how to experience God’s forgiveness and begin a relationship that will change the rest of life and forever for whoever receives it. There will be a clear explanation, but no pressure. You can feel comfortable inviting your friends to a place and experience that will not make them uncomfortable. We believe it will make them open to the possibility that there is more to life, and Jesus is the way.

At NewPointe we believe that everyone spends forever somewhere. We want to help you do all you can to make certain that the people you know and love spend it with Jesus.

Why don’t you right now pray for your list of five? Pray that they will be receptive to YOUR invitation and then receptive to the invitation of Christ.

It’s the opportunity of a lifetime.
