Generosity's Impact

December 11, 2024

Generosity Sunday for the homeless in each of the counties where we have a campus was an amazing day. Generosity is one of the most beautiful aspects of humanity, and in times of hardship it is most often noticed. Whether it’s providing a warm meal, offering a safe shelter or clothing, these acts of kindness create hope that touches lives in profound ways.

This is where your compassion makes all the difference. Through your giving you provided tangible support and emotional relief to those who needed it most. What makes your kindness so remarkable to me and blessed by God isn’t just what you’ve given, but the spirit in which it was offered. It’s because you believe in the value of every life and choose to act when others are in need. We’re not alone in this world – there is a God, as well as the church, who cares deeply for those in need.

Generosity, no matter the size, creates impact. A single meal can remind someone that they are cared for. A financial gift can restore hope. It helps people rise above their circumstances and move toward recovery.

To everyone who has contributed to helping others during these challenging times, thank you! Your selflessness has brought light to dark moments and turned despair into hope. The families and individuals you’ve helped, you may never meet this side of heaven, but your impact is felt in every step they take forward.

Your actions are a reminder that even in the face of great challenges, kindness and love exist and will win. You are proof that we are the church – that God cares and is active in our world.

Let’s continue to be a source of hope and healing for those in need. Thank you so much for being part of this movement that began with Jesus and continues everywhere His church is truly the Church. As we reflect on what God has done, let’s celebrate our collective commitment to generosity and love in action.

Command them to do good, to be rich in good deeds, and to be generous and willing to share. 1 Timothy 6:18
